Interview Experiences
 Unbelievably cool city. Lots of snow adding to atmosphere, but incredible. Loved the PD and the residents.
Breakfast, talk, tour and 4 interviews, one with resident.
4 20 minute interviews. Very laid back.

Program Advantages
Close-knit family community.
Strong conferences, friendly people, excellent ancillary staff, attendings enjoy teaching, great city, good volume and diversity of path. Very friendly and helpful coordinator.
Very strong and well trained faculty. Portland is a cool town.
Very very strong IR. Only tertiary care center in Maine.

Program Disadvantages
Dated technology. Integrated first year seems difficult.
For those who want basic research not much here, more call than some programs.
Not as academically strong as I would have liked. Pediatric rotation takes place in Indy (have to move for 2+ mos of residency).
Not as much research as academic institutions, but high volume of research in IR.
