Interview Experiences
Awesome place
Very relaxed
Most laid back interview the entire season. One very chill faculty interview and then spent most of the day with the residents.
2 really laid back interviews.
Pretty standard. Very nice faculty. One just talked to me about surfing and rock bands the whole time.
Great interview day. Only had 1 official interview, but spent a great deal of time with the Chiefs who were very fun.
Interviewers were down to earth. Residents all seemed very welcoming.
I have never met happier residents!
Ranked #1.
Very well organized. All staff very friendly. Had to pay $10 for parking, which was kind of annoying.

Program Advantages
Very Solid program, fun residents/faculty
awesome residents and faculty.
New PD who is very up to speed on the national scene. Great weather year round. Fun and friendly residents.
Happiest residents you will find. Gainesville is awesome, central location.
big size class, great rep; faculty and residents are happy and get solid training
Location, weather, good training, decent cost of living, good book fund ($1500/yr).
Very chill program. Program director is quite knowledgable and involved on the national level.
Research opportunities without being pushed really hard by attendings to do research.
Good deal of resident autonomy with graduated call. Plenty of residents stay for fellowships. Strongest program in FL.
Happy residents. Autonomous night float. Hospitals all close to each other. Number of outdoors opportunities close by (beach, springs, trails). Good volume. Hot seats course.

gainsville.
Gainesville doesn't have a lot going on and its a pain to get into or out of the city by flight.
Gainesville is a small college town that is difficult to fly in and out of if you have family living somewhere other than FL
Not many.
None
Gainesville may be an advantage or disadvantage depending on what you want.
Residents seemed to only end up working in Florida or nearby after completing residency.
